This Return Policy explains how to return BotaniCardia and related products purchased from this website, how statutory rights apply, and how refunds are processed. It complements the Terms of Service, which remain fully applicable.

1. Who this Policy applies to

If you are a consumer (an individual acting for purposes outside your trade or profession), you benefit from mandatory consumer rights under EU and Finnish law, including withdrawal rights for distance contracts where applicable. If you are a business customer, contractual terms agreed at purchase may differ; contact us for your specific agreement.

2. Right of withdrawal (distance selling)

For distance contracts, consumers in the EU/EEA generally have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason, starting the day after you receive the goods. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us clearly before the deadline expires. You may use the model withdrawal form below or send a plain email with your name, address, order number, and statement that you withdraw.

Exceptions apply by law. For sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons if unsealed after delivery, the right of withdrawal may be lost once the seal is broken. Food supplements are often treated as sealed consumables; opening the bottle may affect your withdrawal right. If you are unsure, contact us before opening.

3. Defective or wrong products

Separate from withdrawal, you have statutory remedies if goods are defective or not as described. If you receive a damaged parcel, wrong item, or a product with a manufacturing defect, contact us promptly with:

• Your order number and contact details.
• Photographs of the outer packaging, the product label, and the issue.
• A short description of the problem.

We will repair, replace, reduce the price, or refund according to applicable law and the facts of the case. Do not return goods until we confirm the process if you require a prepaid label or specific carrier instructions.

4. Return conditions

Returned products must be in a condition consistent with the reason for return:

• Withdrawal: where still permitted, return unopened or unused goods in original packaging when reasonably possible.
• Defects: return as instructed; partial use may be acceptable if proving a defect.

Include all accessories, leaflets, and free gifts that came with the product unless otherwise agreed.

5. Return shipping costs

If you withdraw from a distance contract, you bear the direct cost of returning the goods unless we have agreed otherwise or we failed to inform you that you must bear those costs. If we sent a defective or incorrect item, we will cover reasonable return costs or provide a prepaid label when available.

6. Refunds

After we receive and inspect the returned goods (or receive proof of return where applicable), we will process refunds within a reasonable period, typically within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice or the goods, whichever is later, unless we are waiting for the goods to arrive.

Refunds are made using the same payment method you used unless you expressly agree otherwise. We may withhold refund until we receive the goods back or evidence that you sent them.

If you chose a delivery method more expensive than our standard offer, we only refund the standard cost unless we offered the premium method free of charge.

7. Partial loss of value

If you handled the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, we may reduce your refund proportionally to cover loss of value, as permitted by consumer law.

8. Non-returnable situations

Examples where we may refuse returns or refunds not covered by statutory rights include:

• Opened products where hygiene or health protection laws prevent resale.
• Goods returned after the expiry date.
• Goods returned without proof of purchase.
• Goods damaged by misuse or improper storage contrary to label instructions.

10. Statutory warranty

Time limits apply under national law.

12. Finnish consumer authorities

Consumers in Finland may obtain general guidance from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (KKV) and local consumer advisory services. EU consumers can use the European Consumer Centre Finland for cross-border issues. These bodies do not decide individual disputes with us but provide neutral information.

13. Environmental note

Where possible, reuse packaging materials when returning goods and follow local recycling rules for glass and paper. Damaged goods may be disposed of according to municipal instructions.
